|“||The Lord of the North was the spirit of Terrasen.||”|
The Lord of the North has lived in Oakwald Forest for as long as it has existed. When Brannon Galathynius set foot in Terrasen, it blessed him. On the way to the Battle at Orynth, the Lord of the North allowed Aelin Galathynius to ride him to speed their journey and drive out the Valg.
Not much is known about the Lord of the North's personality, with him only being seen once. However, he does not appear to like humans much, as they destroy natural land. He hates the Valg much more, though, as they destroy everything.
The Lord of the North appears as a huge stag with perpetually flaming antlers and an immortal glow.
Powers and abilities
Not much is known about his powers, although he appears to have total control over Oakwald Forest.
The Lord of the North appeared to think that Brannon would be a good king, as he blessed him. He was correct in this belief.
In Empire of Storms, the Lord of the North appears briefly to bid Aelin farewell on her journey to Illium. He was willing to let Aelin ride him to the Battle at Orynth, which is something he had never done for a mortal before. However, that may have just been because of how much he hated the Valg.
