There are currently five Throne of Glass novellas - The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Healer, The Assassin and the Desert, The Assassin and the Underworld, and The Assassin and the Empire. They are all prequels to the international bestseller Throne of Glass and all have been published by Bloomsbury. The novellas are all published in one book, titled The Assassin's Blade, as well four of them (The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Desert, The Assassin and the Underworld, and The Assassin and the Empire) are available as E-Books. The last one, The Assassin and the Healer, is available at the end of a special edition Crown of Midnight that is available in paperback in the UK.
The Assassin and the Pirate Lord
Sam and Celaena journey to Skull's Bay to meet with the pirate lord Rolfe, where an unexpected turn of events leads to Celaena and Sam racing against the clock, and pirates, to pull off a risky stunt that could very well end their lives.
The Assassin and the Healer
After being punished by Arobynn, Celaena is journeying to the Red Desert to train with the Silent Assassins. On her way she stops in Innish and meets Yrene Towers, a woman who works at the local inn & tavern.
The Assassin and the Desert
Celaena arrives in the Red Desert to train with the Silent Assassins in an effort to gain the blessing of the Mute Master. While there, Celaena meets Ansel of Briarcliff, one of the assassins who is about her age. She befriends the assassin.
The Assassin and the Underworld
Celaena is welcomed back to Rifthold by Arobynn. She is assigned a contract to eliminate a man named Doneval who she believes to be a slave trader. However, she was deceived by Arobynn.
The Assassin and the Empire
Sam and Celaena struggle to escape the looming shadow of Arobynn. Sam accepts a high paying hire to eliminate the Crime Lord Ioan Jayne and his second. The hire was a setup and a betrayal.
The Assassin's Blade
The Assassin's Blade is a book containing all five novellas. It was published by Bloomsbury on May 2014 for the UK (May 2014 for the US). The book will also contains many extras about the Throne of Glass series. Even though the five novellas are separate they form a cohesive and informative prequel to Throne of Glass
