Nolan is a human who owns the White Pig Inn in Melisande.
Biography[]
Seven years after the Fall of Magic, Nolan took on a young woman named Yrene Towers as a barmaid in his tavern. She worked for him for a while, during which he constantly docked her pay for ridiculous infractions and raised her rent regularly to ensure she couldn't afford to leave.
When his inn was visited by Celaena Sardothien, Nolan went out of his way to accommodate her and signaled to Yrene to keep her drinking so he could make more money. After Celaena was attacked by mercenaries, Nolan ducked out of the inn to save himself from being caught in the fight.[1]
Personality[]
Nolan was a stingy and greedy man who skimped on many details in his business, by using half-rotten meat for his food, washing his linen only when fleas were evident and watering down his wine. He was also willing to go to extreme measures to keep Yrene as his barmaid. This either means that he desired Yrene, or that he just needed as many barmaids as he could have for his inn.
Physical description[]
Nolan is a stout man with a balding head.
