I was looking at pages on the wiki when I can across one called Wind-Cleaver, I saw that there wasn't much on the page... so I searched it in the search bar. But there turns out to be two pages of the same thing.
Basically just filling in information from the books on stubby pages would be helpful. It doesn't have to look pretty, I can always neaten it up but it's a lot easier than having to search through every book myself for info on a given character/location at a time.
That would be amazing, thank you! I'd love to help out :) It will be much easier to keep CC Wiki updated from the start than after 3-4 books have already been released lol.
There was actually an idea I wanted to run by you... What would you think about merging all the sjm wikis in the future into one for all her series? Similar to the Riordan Wiki? Seen as how ToG and ACOTAR have so far been said to exist in more-or-less the same Multiverse. Let me know how it sounds to you, it's just something I've been thinking about for a while 😅
I'm not too sure about exactly when to do it. Both the ToG and ACOTAR Wikis need some serious updates, so maybe it would be better to stay separate for now and look after CC Wiki from the first book's release? That might give me enough time to spruce things up.
Hi! I have two (2) questions regarding editing the Kingdom of Ash page,
1. Kingdom of Ash has been released and I would like to edit the page as I read the book, but it is found under 'unreleased books', is there any way to change this or would I have to somehow delete the page then make a new one under the 'books' category?
2. How do I create a link to a character description page? I have mentioned Elide and Gavriel but I dont know how to link their name to their character description page.
Hi. You can just remove the unreleased category from the page, and to create a link you must be in source mode and wrap the name of the page you want (not necessarily the character name) in square brackets. Eg. [[Elide Lochan]]
If you're going to be adding to the plot as you read, I'll add a banner to show that it is under construction. Saying it will be filled as you read does not look very professional.
I would like to ask you if you cold somehow unblock Lysandra character page from Throne of Glass for I'd like very much to add some new information to the description but it seems I'm not able to do.
Thank you for your time and help.
I want to ask you, how can I edit protected sites, for example Yrene Towers. Do I have to be an admin or something else? I have experience with normal Wikipedia (you can check my Wikia profile) but here... I don't really know.
I was wondering if you'd like to affiliate this wiki with The Folk of the Air Wiki? Our community is pretty small a the moment, but we are hoping it will grow with the help of Affiliations. Let me know what you think.
Is that "thing" in ACOTAR too? Because I actually tried to read ToG before and I do think it was also the writing or that I just got bored in the beginning that I couldn't get into it immediately. Figured I just needed to get at least a couple of chapters in first.
OOH YES. I actually have a copy, just need to get around to unwrapping it. :p I've heard nothing but praise for Patrick Rothfuss. So many good books, so little time. But your recommendation will definitely bump it up my list!
It is in both books, unfortunately. I really want to mention it, but in case you haven't noticed I wouldn't want to point it out lol. You're not wrong though. ToG is more of a setup for everything else IMO, but it can be boring.
I'm not selling it very well, am I XD
With KKC you have to choose between saving the books for later so you can stretch them out, or devouring them and joining the rest of us in waiting for the next book. 😂
Reeed! Finally got around to reading this. I'm getting what you're saying about the writing/the "thing" the author does. I feel like I might just finish this book then not read the sequels? And I might just read about what happens here. Because I have too much on my to-read list that it seems like a shame to postpone those for this. XD
Update: Halfway through. Crap, I think I take this back.. :))
Yep, and the writing style only gets worse the further along you go in the series. The books themselves also start seeming a lot less...edited, I guess? If you read on, I suppose you'll notice the change.
If you like it though, that's great! I'm just bitter :)
Same. I've decided to just buy the e-books for the Sh books now anyway since I like that e-books are updated when corrections to editions are made (and they're still damn cheaper than the physical copies where I am). It is a shame, the special edition's art look so beautiful!
In my case, I'm not done because I need my sleep between work and classes, but so much is happening!! It's giving me a probably unhealthy mix of feels: I'll cry one scene, be laughing out loud in another, will be pissed and worried the next.
I also may have sought out spoilers the day before release so I know about the epilogue..... 😅 Freaaaky (but excited). Also, have you let it sink in that we'll probably have to wait around 4 years for the continuation? 😶
It is a shame about missing out on the artwork, but that will turn up online at some point, probably. I was lucky enough to find someone on tumblr who sent me pics of A Love that Never Tires, so at least I didn't miss out on that :D
I think I read too fast to go through all those phases lol. But that epilogue...damn...I've never been so invested in the story-even after LoS-than I am now. That meeting between characters will be so awkward 😭
But on the bright side, we have the last two Gotsm stories. QoAaD has kinda just negated any excitement I had for the Last Hours though. It feels almost like filler 😂
Honestly, this whole other worlds thing is scaring me. We had Edom, now Thule, and it opens up the possibilities to their being more alternate dimensions/realities out there that might be even worse. Edom where Asmodeus won, Thule where Seb won, I bet (given what Thule!Tessa said about timelines splitting at certain points) that there's one where Valentine won and Jace is dead, or one where (gasp) the Dearborns and the Cohort won. I seriously hope that doesn't come to play. Thule already seems too much to handle. (Also, the pre-release spoilers someone sent me were misleading!! I was told Thule was an afterlife lol)
Right, I kind of feel the same way (weird considering that I was more excited for it than TDA before) so I guess the timing of its release is just right because maybe by then everyone's QoAaD hangover has passed.
