Cyrene was a Stygian Spider that possessed the ability to shift, presumably because she had done a deal with the shapeshifter Falkan Ennar. Manon Blackbeak pushed her and her guards off a cliff, but she survived by turning into something that could fly. She took twenty years from Falkan Ennar, but he later regained his years after she was killed. Dorian Havilliard killed her because he sensed her Valg core. She eventually turned out to be a spy for Maeve, but the group only found out at the very end.
