Cormac was a human inhabited by a Valg prince.
Biography[]
At some point Cormac became acquainted with Arobynn Hamel and went into business with him, becoming one of his investors and clients. The two reportedly owned a carriage together.
When Aelin Galathynius infiltrated the glass castle to rescue her cousin Aedion Ashryver, she dyed her hair red and used information given to her by Lysandra to impersonate Cormac. A witness to the rescue later told the King that they had seen Cormac, and presumably divulged his magical heritage as well. Wanted for treason, Cormac was forced to flee Rifthold and somehow ended up in Morath where he was implanted with a Valg Prince.
Queen of Shadows[]
When Vernon Lochan explains to Elide that she will be implanted, Cormac is with him. The Valg prince allows tendrils of darkness to curl from him, but Vernon tells him to stop because toying with Elide now would "make [her] no fun tomorrow"; Cormac obeys. As he and Vernon depart the cell, Elide mentally calls him her betrothed, though the thought evokes disgust and fear in her.
The following day, Kaltain Rompier impersonates Elide, and the guards lead her into the implantation room. Cormac watches as a guard restrains Kaltain and approaches her with a knife. Before the implantation can begin, Kaltain unleashes her shadowfire, killing everyone in the room, including Cormac.
Personality and traits[]
Before his possession by a Valg prince, he was an allegedly cruel man; this evil was further amplified by the Valg prince's influence. Vernon once remarked that as a human, Cormac took pleasure in "playing with" women, implying that he was a pervert, or worse still, a rapist.
Physical description[]
Cormac was a redheaded young man who possessed unearthly beauty. His green eyes were distant and cold.
