Biography
Early Life
As a child, Archer was a beggar living on the streets of Rifthold until Madame Clarisse took him in. He worked as a prostitute in order to pay the debts he owed to her. When he was younger, he spent some time at the Assassins' Keep to learn how to defend himself. There he met Aelin Galathynius, who developed a crush on him and flirted with him.
Crown of Midnight
Upon her return from (allegedly) dispatching Sir Nirall, the King of Adarlan gives Aelin the name of her next assassination target: Archer Finn, whom the King believes to be part of a rebel organization in Rifthold. Aelin is shocked and wonders how Archer became involved in such a mess. She asks the King if she must kill Archer's clients as well, causing the King to realize that she knows him. Aelin then tells the King that carrying out the contract will require extra time because Archer is so well-guarded and the King allows her one month to kill him.
A couple of days later, Aelin tails Archer to get a sense of his schedule. She stealthily follows him as he attends his appointments, one of which is with Lady Balanchine.
It is later revealed that Archer had been involved in the underground movement along with Ren Allsbrook and Nehemia Ytger, the latter of whom he hires Grave to kill, aiming to abolish Adarlan's tyranny and restore Aelin Galathynius back on Terrasen's throne. Archer asks Aelin to join him in his schemes, but does not succeed—wanting revenge, Aelin guts him with Damaris in the sewers.
