Don’t read unless you’ve finished Crown of Midnight (at least)

It’s been a HOT minute but I came back just to see if I’m being crazy or not. Rereading this series for the millionth time and I feel like there’s something I didn’t catch before each time.

This time it’s on page 10 of the ToG og hardcover.

When Celaena doesn’t properly address Dorian with his title, Chaol says “Your Highness” and Celaena replies with “What?”

“Address him as Your Highness” etc.

My theory is that she’s not saying “what?” because she doesn’t understand him, but instead ANSWERING to being called Your Highness.

There’s tons of other obvious hints at what’s revealed at the end of CoM. Could this also be foreshadowing for the future or am I just crazy?

Hey, so I'm rather new to this whole fandom-share-your-thoughts-thing, but I'm currently on my 3rd reread of the series and I NEED to talk to someone about how emotional this series makes me feel. (So I came here, since I don't know of any other tog-fandom-chats).

I'm currently at the near end of EoS/ToD (doing a tandem read) and even though I know exactly what happens, it still gets me every time.

The writing, the unraveling of the story, the way everything comes together is just so devestating but at the same time so beautiful.

I literally had to take a break because my heart is pounding so fast that I can't continue on reading hahaha

Please tell me I'm not alone with this, that I'm not the only one crying through this series no matter how often I open the books anew and still think about it, even when I long finished reading.

Which scenes invoke that feeling in you?

For me it's currently the moment in EoS, when Aelin and Manon enter the mirror and finally learn which price has to be paid

Unfortunately it has not yet been released in Spanish 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭And I also saw a video that said that the ending was not up to par compared to the rest of the book so now I'm also afraid to read it... (that is: I need to read it as soon as possible).

The good news: I pre-sold HoFaS AND Iron Flame (Empyrean 2, has anyone read it?) in Spanish because they are released on the same day, and they arrive on Fridayyyy yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 😁

BUT before reading it: if someone has already read HoFaS completely, I have 3 questions:

1) Does one of the important ones die (Bryce, Hunt, Ruhn, Lidia, Ithan, Tharion) or someone from Acotar?

2) Does ToG appear?

3) The most important thing: DOES IT END WELL or is there a total disaster?

I just finished part 1 (where Bryce leaves Prythian) but I’m really enjoying it so far. Idk why but I thought that we’d maybe get some pov chapters from ACoTaR characters but it’s quickly becoming obv that we won’t lol.

Guys someone comment on here I have so many thoughts and questions and thoughts and theories and SO MANY THOUGHTS

Also sorry if I am posting a lot.

I really enjoyed this book a lot. It was fun and exciting (as all the installments seem to be) and I’m still giving it five stars though.

However, there are two things that I didn’t really like about the book (everything else was fine and I loved how Lorcan got chewed out by Elide after he sold out Aelin to Maeve).

1. Maybe it’s just me but Weylan Darrow (hope I spelled his name right) seemed kind of useless in this book. I didn’t quite understand what his purpose is supposed to be here (I might find out more in Kingdom of Ash but for now, he seemed like a pointless character).

2. The confrontation between Aelin and Maeve, I was a little bit disappointed with. I still loved how Aelin planned ahead and the protagonists still got their armies but the way the confrontation unfolded…felt (not sure how else to say this) lackluster, in a way.

However, aside from those two things, there was still plenty of good things to outweigh the bad and Tower of Dawn is so far another excellent addition to this fantastic series.

Ok so a few days ago @Queerpotat i think it was made a post about the significancy of 15000 years which then had me thinking.

Ok so though #1:

Amren is said to be like 15,000 years + right?, which ties in with the significancy. So here are my thoughts ok, Amren was meant to have slept through to the Pynithia from another realm, I’m thinking she could have gone through a Wyrdgate or something from Erilia and she was sent by a “wrathful god” which could be one of the Gods of Erilia.

Thought #2:

In the description of the book of the breathing (which is in a language only Amren can read) it says “A race of faeries from another world feared the use that could be made of the power of the Cauldron and so they created a Book with the secret to counteract its powers, written in the Holy Language, Leshon Hakodesh.” Then in the description of the Cauldron it mentions stuff about other Fae Worlds and says that the Fae from the other worlds created the book of the breathing.

Thought #3 (this links to the significance of 15,000):

The Asteri apparently landed on Midgard (CCs planet) 15000 years ago from CC. It also is said that they traveled between world which could explain as to why they had items such as the Book of the Breathing and the Wyrdmarky one in the Library of Parthoa or something along those lines, which would mean that they etempted to invade the ToG world and ACoTaR one possibly.

Anyway it’s now tomorrow (or does that make todays yesterday?(im sleep deprived ok, it’s not my fault)). So that’s just some randomness put together at some stupid time in the meonign and it probably isn’t even connected I thought it just had a nice linkage to 15,000 sorry if I’ve rambled on a bit. Sorry for the two posts in a row.

This is one of the reasons Chaol annoys me. Nehemia has just died a few chapters before and Celaena isn’t talking to Chaol. Celaena and Dorian have just had dinner in his tower, and now Chaol and Dorian are talking on a balcony.

Chaol says “He’d heard that they’d had dinner—- and that she hadn’t left his rooms until the middle of the night. Had it been a deliberate move on her part? Something to throw in his face, make him ache a bit more.”

He just somehow makes this ALLL about him. Her friends just died, and you think that shes really going to only think about getting back at you with a petty dinner?

Okay... I have just finished HOSAB and I have a question. You remember when Rigelus said that he had appered as Aidas to make them go rebel, did Rigelus mean that Aidas never had been in lunation and that Rigelus had played Aidas the whole time or did Rigelus mean that he played Aidas once, when "Aidas" appered in Bryces apartment in catform?

So Feyre can shape-shift, right. We've seen here alter her body to grow wings and we've seen her modify them with precision under Azriel's guidance. Why didn't she just change her body to be better suited to give birth to a child with wings?

LIKE WHY DIDN'T SHE DO THAT??

Hunt Baxian and Ruhn are slaves now after all Hunt went through he’s a slave again 😭😭 I cannot believe The Hind is Daybright I mean I suspected it might be her after that one convo they had and she asked if it would rly be that bad but still wow and nooo things are all horrible between her and Ruhn now which I understand but :( Ithan had to be my favorite character this book we barely saw him last book but his character shined in this one. Cormac is dead I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING 😭😭😭😭 I loved him 😭 Danika that girl—she’s got more secrets than the rest do combined and she’s dead. It’s hurting Bryce 🥺 Danika had a mate?? That mate was BAXIAN???? I mean I knew I liked Bax for a reason but never would’ve seen that coming. Bro Tharion just sold himself into slavery too like what-😭 omg so many things SO MANY THINGS I’ve vented this all out to the friend I buddy read with BUT STILL

Ok that last chapter? Before the epilogue? BRYCE IS IN PRYTHIAN WITH THE INNER CIRCLE OMG 😭😭😭 does this mean we’re gonna see her in the next ACoTaR book? I’m so excited for the next books for both these series omg ok so wait hear me out listen to my theory:

Bryce and the Fae of Midgard came from The Dusk Court in Prythian now you say “there’s no Dusk Court” BUT there’s been a theory before that there’s a dusk court to match the dawn court that some how died out or something like that and HoSaB basically confirms that. And then the shifters all came from Aelin’s world bc in ToG all Fae have a second animal form SO DOES THIS MEAN WERE GONNA SEE THE GANG AGAIN? I rly hope it does I rly rly hope it does

but woahhh HoSaB was lots of big reveals. I loved the book but I still like the first one better bc Quinlar was less horny in the first one 😐. I was rly on-off-on-off with shipping Quinlar this book tbh but I’ve settled on shipping them I’m not gonna let my paranoia that Hunt’s not the guy win imma support my ship. Also what happened to Hunt calling Bryce “sweetheart”? That didn’t happen once the whole book 😕

I just finished HoSaB and it is 1:35am and I’m utterly shocked. I’m sorry but what Sarah that is not how you end a book I am not emotionally prepared for that.

Ok first things first a while ago (23rd I think) I posted my fist theories and although I was kinda wrong I was also kind of right. My theory was about the star sword and dagger. In it I stated some stuff about how truth teller (Az’s dagger) could be the dagger they mentioned. And I am proud to tell you I am also kind of right i think. When they put truth teller and the star sword the glowed or something. So I am immensely proud of myself and we are all ignoring the wrong stuff I wrote.

Also may I repeat Sarah what were you think you do not end a book like that cause I’m now probably gonna have to wait another few years for it to come out and therefore have a mental breakdown. Ok so Sarah has annoyingly revealed multiple things:

1. There is a lost Fendyr heir

2. The hind is not evil I repeat the Hind is not evil

3. Danika has a mate (Baxian or something) who is a part of Sandriels triarii

4. Hunt and Ruhn are in the Astari’s palace with basically no way of escape so Woo constant torture 😭😭😭

5. Bryce and Hunt are mates and they have been split up and it’s really depressing

6. The autumn king is an ass hole (or as Bryce who put it an Asp hole or alphahole)

7. And the inner circle from ACoTaR is here and I am so excited

Anyway I that’s it and I’m sorry if I have misread any details. Also as a fun bonus note Conrad’s died 😭😭😭 and Tharion is like promised to the viper queen as a fight or something.
