So I am late to reading the Crescent City series by Sarah J. Maas... and I just got to the part where Hunt and Bryce are interviewing him about the explosion at The Raven... why do I kind of feel bad for the guy, especially after he says he respects Hunt for being from the Fallen... does this man turn out to be good or what? I have so many questions lol
What's on your mind?

Please help me understand -- why didn't Brannon banish Erawan and close the gate? See below

He had the three keys, and he had the lock that had been forged by Mala. During the Nightfall chapter at the beginning of Empire of Storms we learn that his fire power is fading, he is fading, but the fire power was needed for forging the lock and Mala had already sacrificed herself for that. Aelin did use some of her power to close the gates, but most of it was in forging the lock, so I really don't understand why Brannon just hung around in possession of the lock and keys and didn't take care of banishing erewan and closing the gates himself. Please help me understand because the whole reason Aelin has to sacrifice herself is theoretically because Elena stole the lock from her father, Brannon, and used it to lock Erawan in the tomb at Morarth. But that doesn't explain why they didn't just use the keys and the lock to banish him and close the gate? Is it because he wanted to hold onto the keys so that he could use them, and if so why didn't he use them to defeat Erawan some other way? It seems like such a big major plot hole to me.

Okay so maybe y’all remember me 😭 I asked a question on here before… anyway I’m about halfway through Heir of Fire right now and I just need to know it Prince Dorian dies??? (He’s kinda the reason I’m still reading 😭🙏)
Hey guys, is the tandem read going to get better?
I loved the last part but I don‘t have the motivation to read further in the series and there are also so many pages… help?!
Maybe give me a little spoiler that motivates me to read the tandem read but don‘t spoil too much!!
That would be so cool!
I would like to know if throne of glass is appropriate for a 15 year old. My main concerns are explicit sexual content and severe language. If y'all could give me your input.
Are you guys happy about this news or kind of disappointed? I can't help but feel disappointed even tho I have a feeling they wouldn't have done it justice...
Hi everyone! So I'm reading Queen of Shadows
----- mild spoiler ahead -----
And Aedion is saying he doesn't know if he is inmortal or not since he discovered he is demi-fae, but with Aelin they all are sure she is mortal. I think i missed something, but i don't know what's the difference; they are both demi-fae. Can someone explain? Thanks!
I actually read EoS and ToD now and I am really in love with ruks and dragons I think they are the cutest things in series so far
Hi people, sorry I’ve been away but I’ve recently been staring at the cover of House of Flame and Shadow, and realised that no one’s posted about it so…
Ok… first thing these covers are beautiful and stunning. Also, there’s so much symbolism (linked to ACOTAR, TOG) but anyway, I’ll do a post about that soon.
SJM took down her Instagram post announcing the shows production, and I’ve seen multiple posts talking about the cancellation of the show, however I can’t find anywhere that it’s been officially canceled so I don’t know??? But as of right now it seems to be 😭😭😭
So I read these books whenever I went to the library sometimes I had to wait for weeks for the next books to come out because apparently some other kid was reading them at the same time🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ So for Christmas someone important to me got these!!! I was so excited and I’m still constantly reading them even though I finished reading the series like a year ago. My favorite book is definitely queen of shadows and I’m just so glad that I have these books a chance because when I was at the library that first day I couldn’t find anything good to read and I found TAB and omg I couldn’t stop crying over sams death. I couldn’t get enough of this series thank you so much sjm!!!!!!
SPOILER ALERT: Ok so the song ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ perfectly describes Chaol being hung up over Celaena when she’s moved on and become Aelin. Also about how she sorta cut him off and u guys need to listen to it pls. Also abt how Chaol is scared of Aelin
Hey everyone,
I JUST finished Kingdom of Ash and I love the series overall, but I am just a bit overwhelmed and don’t really know how to proceed…🥲 I can’t really form any cohesive thoughts on how I feel about the ending and the series in general having finished it (other than liking it obviously, but I’m looking for something a little deeper and more thoroughly formulated…)
I really wanna know: How do you guys feel about the ending, overall plot, how the characters end up, storyline, the writing, anything that might come to mind after having read the entire series? What did you feel just after finishing reading it? Tysm🙏🏻🙏🏻
So I read the ACOTAR series first, then heard about Crescent City so of course I reas those two books next. I saved ToG for last because of how big the series was but OMG…the hints at so many crossovers is insane! From Aelin being the red star and seeing Rhys and Feyre to the wyrdmarks being distinctively close to the Cormac’s tattoo. The crossover is going to be HUGE and I just might throw up!
*spoilers for rest of series**
Okay, so there are two things that I picked up on while rereading HoF. First off, Rowan and Aelin really have been able to do that silent conversation thing since the first day they met. I mean, I knew they were able to do it for a while, but I didn’t realize it was that soon after they met. Secondly, it’s so much different reading HoF now that I know that Maeve is Valg. It’s crazy to think that Rowan used to call a Valg Queen “my queen.” I know that he didn’t know Maeve was Valg, but still. It’s interesting to read it knowing certain things from reading the rest of the series. Anyone else have thoughts about it?
This is from when Aelin and Rowan go to meet Maeve at the end of HoF
I forgot to post this but a week ago SJM finally announced when CC3 is going to be published!
🚨🚨SPOILERS FOR CROWN OF MIDNIGHT AND ON AND THE WHOLE OF THE SHATTER ME SERIES 🚨🚨
Reading the Shatter Me series for the first time and I feel like Chaol and Adam are so similar. Like they both fell for this girl who was still in the process of discovering herself and when she finally decided to take a step toward embracing who she is Chaol and Adam both turned on them (them being Celaena and Juliette). They both said such awful awful things to their girl, made assumptions, acted like a jackass in general once they broke up all bc they couldn’t get over the fact that their ex was growing as a person. Ok now I have to say that Chaol’s reasons for doing so I personally understood more (didn’t agree with but at least it was understandable) and he didn’t go quite as far as Adam did (as far as I remember) but all in all they’re kinda similar. And Dorian and Kenji are a little alike too in regards to how their the best friend to both the girl and the guy but they ultimately support the girl
Like I wish it never ended it was so good
