On page 25 in ToG Celaena is asking Chaol about the king and starts thinking about the west where the Witch Kingdom is and I just realized that the person she is thinking about is Ansel
'Celaena had once met a young woman from that cursed land, and though she'd turned out to be both cruel and bloodthirsty, she was still just human. And had still bled like one.'

This poem was based off the curse Rhiannon put on the ironteeth. The start of each paragraph is a line (or close to) from the curse. Hope u like it
Witches Curse no more
Blood to blood
Both crochan and ironteeth
Joined together
Warring no more
Soul to soul
Forgiveness between them
Peace among witches
Fighting no more
Together was done
Their Land destroyed
Witches lie dead
Western wastes no more
Only together undone
Both bloods joined
Forces combined
The land dead no more
Be the bridge
Between the warring
Bring races together
Hiding no more
Be the light
Yielding of life
Sacrifice of witches
Thirteen no more
When iron melts
Witches died
Noble thirteen
Matron no more
Flowers from blood
On a warring field
Queen on her knees
Family is no more
Land bare witness
Curse undone
Western wastes freed
Outcasts no more
Return home
To the kingdom of ancients
High queen of witches
Bloodshed no more

Ok, here´s the deal. It is mentioned by Manon that every child born to a witch is a witch as well, so how is it that Elide isn´t a witch if she´s descended from the Blackbeaks?
I assumed that she didn´t menstruate because of all the stress and lack of food. And because of that her powers just didn´t manifest, yet, but it´s pretty clear she´s very familiar with periods, so my prediction went out of the window.
I kinda wished for her to find her powers and wield iron claws and teeth in KoA. Maybe even take a broom of some deceased Crochan and hide with Yrene on the roof while Dorian was tricking Erawan. And of course, she´d be immortal, so Lorcan wouldn´t have to give up his immortality either.
So, what are your thought on this subject?
Ok so you know how witchlings are born when a witch mates with a human man? I’m confused on how elide is “half witch” since every full witchling is the offspring of only one witch.
