Crown of Midnight

Hello everyone, I’m Emi and I recently started reading Throne Of Glass. I really enjoyed it and so I bought Crown Of Midnight. Now, halfway through the book, Celaena is together with Chaol, and I don’t really like how romance-centred this book is starting to get. I’m not saying romance is bad; I just don’t really like the way it’s constantly mentioned. Does it stay like this the whole series? (At the point where I am right now, Celaena just got thrown into jail and Nehemia was found dead.) Also, please don’t give major spoilers in the comments, except if really necessary. Thanks :)

Hi everyone, most of you probably don’t know who I am so I thought I’d reintroduce myself. I am a discussion moderator who was extremely active in 2020 before things picked up again. I took a break for a plethora of reasons but I miss hanging out with everyone. I just picked up CoM because I had the urge to re read all of her books so that I can cross examine them with HoSaB. I’m a pretty devoted fan and I’ve read all of her books. So that’s me😂 hiiii

I am re-reading Crown of Midnight again, and I find Nehemia a bit mean with Celeana : she say that she’s a coward! I wouldn’t like to be called like that... But when she dies I can’t say this.

In fact I am at this very moment.

I feel truly sad : the sentence :” Nehemia was dead” killed me as a weapon would have.

But I think there were other ways than get killed, and I know that the friendship between Nehemia and Celeana was real but I can’t help and think that Nehemia played just and only with Celeana to pushed her to accomplish her destiny...

But I really love Nehemia, she resist to the king of Adarlan for her country and Erilea... She is such a hero!

So, that’s my dilemma...

PS : I wonder also sometimes if Nehemia had told Celeana that she knew whom she truly was, there are many clues that she knows and yet, Celeana doesn’t notice...

3. When does Aelin go back to rifthold?

4. When does she shatter the glass castle?

5. Is it in QoS she goes back to Orynth or is it in EoS?

6. When is kaltains suicide?

7. What is happening in QoS?

I'm about to finish Crown Of Midnight and some say after Heir Of Fire comes Assassins Blade and others say I should read it after Queen of Shadows and now I don't know what to do.

So, in what order should I read the Throne of glass series? Or did you guys make a mistake I should avoid?

Her character was amazing - teaching Celaena and being her best friend and female friend since Ansel - but seriously... the way she just died to motivate her or sth... eish. I still love her, dw, but like... pathetic much in the moment, I was for her...

Sorry I know this is my fourth post in a row but I just have to say that Philippa is so f*cking underrated does nobody remember how she comforted Celaena after Nehemia died or how she brought Celaena tea when she was on her period or how she got Celaena new clothes after the assassin burned them or how she scolded Celaena for having red teeth on Yulemas or how she cleaned Celaena's wounds after one of the tasks in the competition or how she kept Celaena from killing herself after Nehemia's death and told Chaol about how worried she was about the girl Philippa is such an amazing character and needs more credit and she truly cares for Celaena
