Fwiw I think his character gets a lot better throughout the series. I wasn't a huge Dorian fan in book 1 but I started to shift my opinion of him at the end of book 2 and in book 7 I was ready to bow down to him.

I loved Dorian since ToG and I'm half way through HoF too, just looking up he doesn't die.

Dorian was always one of the best characters to me
