Ok, so, I like Sam as a character. He's not my favourite, for reasons. I feel like the novellas weren't really necessary for his development because Celaena, through the series, basically already explains everything about him. I do think he was a really sweet character though. I don't really understand some of his thoughts though- like why wouldn't you bring a fellow assassin with you if you're literally walking into a torturer's house- *sigh* I don't know, there's just some plot holes in him in my opinion.
