Hear me out. So, you know how Rhys has been getting a lot of hate because of Az's bonus chapter? Originally, I just hated the chpt cuz I knew Rhys would never do something like that without a good reason. Then I just assumed he sympathized with Azriel somehow. BUT I'VE HAD AN EPIPHANY. Rhys didn't sympathize with Az, he actually sympathized with Lucien. Why is this? He knows how it feels to watch his mate from afar, knowing she's in love with another male. He kept Azzie from kissing Elain because he knew how Lucien felt and wanted to give him a chance with his mate without her getting involved with other males. So, all in all, Rhys doesn't deserve ANY hate whatsoever because the whole thing with Azriel, Lucien, and Elain is just reminding him of everything that had happened between Feyre, Tamlin, and him during the first book and the beginning of the second and he doesn't want anyone else to have to go through what he went through.
